Fact: Jupiter has the shortest day of all the planets.
Jupiter's atmosphere is similar to the sun's, it is made up of mostly hydrogen gas and helium gas. From space all one can see is its brown, yellow, and red stripped clouds. The most recognizable feature of Jupiter is it's Red Spot that sits 22° south of its equator (pictured to the left). The Red Spot is actually a storm that rotates counter clockwise and has for over three and a half centuries

Although Jupiter is a sandy planet it is home to many living creatures. The strangest is the Red Spot Toad. As suggested by the name, the Red Spot Toad lives within Jupiter's Red Spot and is the only creature that lives in this storm. This toad uses its unusually long nails to dig into the sand and stay in place.
This species of toad, like others, has dry skin, in the case of Red Spot Toad it has the driest of skin. Its skin allows it to live undisturbed by the storm that surrounds it. Like a fish this toad actually breaths through its skin! One surprising fact about the Red Spot Toad is its inability to eat. The Red Spot Toad actually eats some of its offsprings and is then set for life.
