Much like John Cage's piece, Water Walk, my Untitled piece above takes a look at music from a different perspective. Although there are aspects of the piece that are in fact pieces of music, i.e. the guitar and history of jazz tracks, there are everyday noises, such as babies crying, broken microwaves, breathes, and lighter flicks, that I attempted to both incorporate into the melody and take you out of the moment.

I aimed to make the first half of the piece calming and soothing while the second half keeps you on the edge of your seat. Throughout the composition I overlapped the sounds hoping to make the piece feel more coherent. The ending is the last few seconds of the whole lighter flick and inhale audio that is repeated throughout the piece. In a way the ending is supposed to be a relief from to the chaos you have just listened to.
