Mati Grace Morrow
Mati Grace (represented as her cat drawing) was born in Chicago, IL. in August, 2000. She was always interested in art specifically digital art but her arts career officially began in 2014 with her enrollment at The Chicago Academy for the Arts high school. There she studied media arts, where she most enjoyed post production. In 2018 she moved to Boulder, CO to attend The University of Colorado Boulder. There she majors in media studies while also pursuing a minor in studio arts.
Mati's main aim in life is to live a life surrounded by creativity. Although she talks, what some may say, an excessive amount, she is not always the best emotional communicator. Art has become an outlet for her to convey emotions otherwise unexpressed. Her modes of communication range from film, drawing, sculpture, etc. but she her eclectic and abstract aesthetics stays consistent throughout mediums.
Despite her love for eclectic and abstract art has stayed consistent over the years her approach to art has changed. Instead of being wildly concerned with the 'deep' message her art offers she has been having more fun with just creating. This new playfulness her art has embodies is the the new future in Mati's art.
