For project #1 I wanted to focus on my identity as a half asian, half white American throughout my life. I wanted to pursue this idea prior to our last class however after out discussion on Nikki Lee I felt even more inspired to elaborate on this idea.

I am thinking I want to pick two complimentary colors and combine them to represent me. The other two colors will represent the two races I am. These iterations of colors will be abstracted by organic shapes and movements that are on separate sides of the frame. The 'me color' will attempt to blend with these organic shapes but none of the colors will allow me to blend, representing my inability to find a whole community. I will then add other shapes and colors that will slowly blend in with my colors to represent other aspects of my life rather than my race that represent my identity - I am still working on what these would symbolize and I may abandon this part as it may be hard to incorporated with glitch. My 'me color' will eventually be able to meld with other colors to show an acceptance I have found with myself and other diverse communities.
